British musician Elvis Costello covered the song in 1980 for his album Get Happy!!. It was one of 3 singles taken from the album in the UK and peaked at number four. It became one of Costello's most popular songs from the 1980s. It was supposed to be released on the 2 Tone Records label, but even though copies were pressed, contractual difficulties eventually halted its release.
